UltraWind RGB Elite: race lighting is here
Back in April I showed you a custom project: air outlets that light up with race signals. A lot of you asked when you could get one. Today it becomes a real product: the UltraWind RGB Elite, born from a collaboration with Batok, sim racing YouTuber.
Lighting that helps you drive
No decorative lighting. The air outlets themselves light up, right in your field of view, driven by live telemetry through SimHub*:
- Race flags: white, green, blue and yellow, the moment they are shown.
- Pit limiter: a clear confirmation that it is engaged.
- Spotter: when a car is alongside you, the outlet on that side lights up, and only that one.
- Your own colours: static or animated lighting, even when you are not racing.
- Advanced setups: make the outlets flash when ABS or traction control kicks in.
The spotter is the reason this kit exists. You know which side the other car is on without turning your head or checking a mirror. It takes two outlets driven independently, left and right, which is exactly how this system is built. Plug and play: you plug it in, it works. And for those who like to fine-tune, a full configuration is waiting for you.
Why Batok
Batok lives sim racing at a human scale, out of passion, without chasing anyone. That is what drew me to him. We worked on this together, exploring what SimHub and RGB air outlets could do on a real rig.
What’s in the box
- 1x UltraWind Elite, dual outlet, RGB finish: the translucent outlets built to let the light through.
- The RGB lighting system: 2 illuminated air outlets, the control box with its power supply, and ready-to-import SimHub profiles (the link is emailed with your invoice).
- 2x Quick Routing Collar to guide the tubes through your rig.
- Mounting hardware for any rig: screws and nuts for aluminium profiles, screw adapters and zip ties.
Launch price: €989
A world exclusive in sim racing: the only SimHub-compatible RGB wind simulator. Every kit is assembled and tested by hand in my workshop, not on an assembly line, so lead time depends on the number of orders in progress.
On a smaller budget? The UltraWind wind simulators start at €49.99: compare the range. A question? Write to me through the contact form, or talk to me directly on WhatsApp with the button at the bottom left of the page.
* The lighting depends on the telemetry each game sends to SimHub, so it is not guaranteed to work with every game. On the SimHub side, game support keeps improving day after day, and has for years.
